  How can they continue the FDS "prophecy" now?

  i can't help but to wonder how would anyone be able to defend the existence of the fds at this point.

  could anyone play devils advocate?

  It’s not just about defending the FDS, but also defending “The Organization”

  Two different entities that work for the same purpose and that require the same devotion and obedience. It about as crazy as the sign in the book of Revelation; where people worshiped the dragon because it gave the authority to the wild beast, and they worshiped the wild beast .

  To tamper with the FDS is to tamper with the “Organization” of God. So they might not be able to defend the existence of the FDS with words, but they can defend it with the sword of execution, (disfellowshipping) which is carried out by the “executive” part of the Organization.   Just because the Watchtower is pleading for more money doesn't necessarily mean they are having financial problems. It's the oldest trick in the book.

  i want to marry only in the lord but as the balance of brothers and sisters are not even and i am getting older as time goes by, im kinda a little panicky now.

  In all my life as a JW the total I contributed over a 30 year period was less than $50.00

  Man, I wish I could say that about myself. In the congregation I attended, and I lived in a City close to the border of Mexico where education was nil and poverty is rampant, monthly contributions were between 5k to 10k monthly. We had many business owners in all sorts of trades making more than doctors.

  We will never know how much the WT actually collects since they will NEVER print financial statements. But the point is that the WT views $ 1 dollar differently than a normal average person. Just .50 cents a week from each member would pull in more than $ 200 million dollars a year TAX FREE.

  It's the advantage of the bigger you are the more advantage you have even in little things-economies of scale

  after todays watchtower lesson, and the lessons coming, something tells me bigger and bigger new understandings are coming.

  and that it will culminate with 1914. notice how jesus is now coming, and no longer already here.

  the current understanding is both, he is here and hes also coming.

  History suggests they will not abandon 1914

  Business wise 1914 is the WT’s best product. It is the cash cow of the organization. It is what keeps the money rolling in. Nothing else the organization does matters. Overlapping generation, Faithful and discreet slave, types and antitypes is just new products that are being marketing to try to draw in new customers-(members-children)

  They are smart enough to know that changing 1914 drastically could have serious repercussions financially for the organization. They are knowledgeable enough to know that to get rid of 1914 is tantamount to Lambert Pharmacal Co. getting rid of Listerine mouth wash or Procter & Gamble getting rid of Ivory soap.

  You just don’t mess with your Cash Cow.

  All these changes are just market ploys to try to attract and retain future members (Children being baptized) or the unwary.

  1914 will stay until it is not being bought by anyone anymore. Then they will get rid of it.

  You don't tug on Superman's cape.

  You don't spit into the wind.

  You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger.

  at the end of april, there was a zone visit in france, with tv broadcast in all kh.. g. losch told he received a letter from a girl, 10 years old, baptised at 5, reg pioneer since 4 years !

  what a fine example, he said....... let s imagine the faces of the parents in the kh!

  i was happy to see i was not the only one to find it crazy.. if you have a child, you know how mature he is at 5. how can a child preach 2.5hours/day after 7hours of school and homework to do??

  There have been some well authenticated instances in which women have been transformed into men,

  and it is possible that this transformation may become general and we shall all be brothers together.
